The challenge of graffiti vandalism, figuring out how to remove graffiti when it is so widespread is a big challenge. Take a walk down any busy (or deserted) street and you will spot vandalism somewhere on a surface around you. Graffiti covers walls and coats the sides of trains, bridges, and motorway signs. It’s scrawled on storefronts and street signs, even homes and schools. It’s everywhere. While we cannot stop people from doing it, we can take steps to remove graffiti in a safe, eco-friendly way. This is where Ecoatex comes in.

Not all graffiti paint remover is toxic. Our Ecoatex graffiti remover solution is a safe and powerful cleaner capable of removing graffiti, as well as adhesives, tar, bitumen, coatings and resins.

Harmful solvents, such as methylene chloride, are usually used to clean graffiti off surfaces. The problem in these solvents lies not only in the fast evaporation rate, which is then toxic to inhale and can lead to brain damage, but the heavy industrial pollution that goes hand in hand with such solvents.

For example, a common method of graffiti removal is paint thinner – an alcohol-based substance used to break down the paint and wash it away. In theory, it works. However, it is a corrosive substance that will burn skin on contact, is dangerous to inhale and is harmful to the environment, and can damage the surface it is being applied to.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Has a mild scent and is therefore pleasant to use.

Is liquid and can be used by spraying, dipping, brushing, and pumping. It can be removed with a (damp) cloth or with absorbent paper or by rinsing with water.

PPE is kept to a minimum.

Is safe and economical to use, due to a high flash point and low vapor pressure.

Contains absolutely no xylene, toluene, acetone, aromatic hydrocarbons, methylene chloride, etc.

Solution areas

In painting, coating, damage repair and polyester processing applications in yacht painting companies, highly volatile, harmful and environmentally harmful products are often used, often based on substances such as methylene chloride, thinners, etc. These substances are very harmful to people and the environment. Many of these substances therefore make a major contribution to the formation of OPS (Organo Psycho Syndrome or 'painting's disease'). Filters of spray equipment also regularly fill up when thinner is used as a flushing agent.

To clean graffiti, Ecoatex can be used in its pure form – no need to dilute or mix with anything else! The product can be used by pumping, flushing and plunging.

• Pumping/ flushing: pump the fluid through or over the objects that need be cleaned (if necessary, using a high-volume, low-pressure pump) and let it circulate for a while. If the result isn’t satisfactory, repeat this until you’re happy!
• Plunging: plunge the object in Natusafe and let it sit for some time, then take it out if clean enough and let it dry. If necessary, you can rinse with water and wipe dry.
